My work often escapes the constraints of representation, warranting a separate focus on my more informal works. Often these are an exploration of the colour blue, occasionally in dialogue with black. At times, they’re a research into shapes detached from figurative subjects, specifically the curve and the square. At others, they are unmediated gesture - an exercise in pure painting.
